PARENTING CLASSES

Teach your children important social and life skills with our parenting program of encouragement and mutual respect for every life stage. Effective parenting is an art that can be learned. The parenting tools you will learn offer valuable social and life skills (without the use of punishment, rewards or empty praises).

Positive Discipline parenting classes are open to Parents, Grandparents, Nannies and Caregivers to children of all ages. They are designed to deepen understanding of the cause of their child’s behaviour including the part they play in it. Parents will learn effective tools to create respectful relationships with their children.

Parenting Classes Rates: Each class paid separately £20pp per class 3 evening Classes course £55pp 6 evening classes course, £100 pp or £190 per couple

The classes are unique and differ from other parenting classes in that they are based on experiential activities that help parents get into the world of children to discover what really works and what doesn’t - what children are really thinking, feeling and deciding based on their parent’s parenting methods. In classes, parents practice their new skills through role-playing and experience, encouraging feedback as they learn how difficult it can be to change old habits. The classes are fun and easy and invite active participation and learning through personal experiences, inspiring deeper understanding and change.

Positive discipline philosophy unlike most other is not only focused on an immediate solution to a behaviour, it applies tools that positively influence behaviour and shape a child’s personality with long term effects.

Participants will :

  • Find out the reasons to why children misbehave

  • Learn positive time out strategies that teach self-regulation

  • Practice how to effectively react to their child’s misbehaviour

  • Learn how to avoid power struggles and encourage cooperation

  • Learn how to use discipline that is kind and firm at the same time, creating a connection before correction so that children learn creative cooperation without the loss of dignity

  • Learn the long term negative effects of praising, bribing and rewarding

  • Have group Parents-helping-Parents discussions, exchanging experiences which is a fun and effective way to gather specific help with real problems, adding to the overall depth of the learning

Starting at birth and continuing throughout life, our ability to thrive is effected by our ongoing relationships and experiences and the degree to which they are healthy, supportive, and responsive or not.
